The clock atop the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower glows this fall. Beginning Saturday, November 5 through Monday, December 12, 2011, the dazzling illuminations of artist and graphic designer Kelley Bell return to the iconic tower in a series of animated video projections. The unique setting of the historic structure’s clockwork room allows for the artwork to be enjoyed from within the tower and outside, and visible for long distances across the city’s skyline. An opening reception takes place November 5 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm on the 15th floor.
This installation follows a successful run of short animations at the tower by the artist in June 2011, which was named "Best Public-Art Project" by Baltimore magazine. The winter-related artwork is rear-projected from three of the four clock faces of the tower shining moving images on the Downtown Baltimore landscape. Projections can be seen from dusk until dawn.
