Fremont City held Diwali Day Flag raising ceremony to celebrate Festival of Lights - Diwali on Monday, October 20th at 12 noon.

ఫ్రీమాంట్ సిటీ దీపావళి దినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా అక్టోబర్ 20వ తేదీ సోమవారం మధ్యాహ్నం 12 గంటలకు జెండా ఎగురవేత కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించింది.

This was a glorious occasion attended by a large number of community members dressed in traditional attire’s with Fremont city Mayor and council members in attendance. Or was of immense significance to all of Indian community as it showcases community’s contributions in making Fremont a culture rich, diverse, safe and happy community.

Addressing the gathering, Mayor Raj Salwan said - Diwali is a festival of joy that signifies victory of Light over darkness and is very relevant today.

FOG founder Dr. Romesh Japra said - Diwali represents the core Indian values off safety, prosperity and happiness for all. Diwali is not just for Hindu Americans or Indian Americans, but for all the Americans embodying Vasudhaiva Kurumbakam or the whole world is one family.
